In Memphis, the taste of locally brewed beer has a lot to do with the purity of the region's water. It flows from the Memphis Sands Aquifer right into Chuck Skypeck's brewery in downtown. Chuck knows that the success of his business is tied to the continued health of the wetlands surrounding the city, so he donates a portion of his proceeds to ensure the aquifer's survival. The best place to enjoy a Ghost River beer, he says, is right on the river itself.
