Nice camera work, Wii~!!
Gh-1 just smashes eerything else man.

You need a filter holder for those - Formatt makes such ones as well but they also work with the Cokin P holder.
Good job nonetheless in the hard lighting conditions! Shooting in sunlight and snow is bloody difficult. You got great shots in motion there once the action gets going. And I like how you build up to the actual skating and then have a quick tail on the story.
anyhow I'm heading up to Stowe for our annual getaway in the mountains and I've decided to brave the elements and bring the GH-1 out on the mountain- I'm building a lightweight DIY stabilizer/rig.
Question for you: Did you ride with the articulated LCD out for framing reference or did you leave it closed up and just...point and shoot. Also* were most of the shots on the mountain with the 20mm pancake?
thanks
Z
I had the LCD closed while riding. Not sure if it makes a huge difference but thought maybe the wind would affect the stability. All riding shots were with the slightly wider 14-140. Everything else was with the 20mm. Would love to see what kind of footage you get and the results of your DIY rig. good luck!
cheers!
Z
The GH1 really is an ideal combination of a manual cinema cam and an autofocus flip-out LCD camera.. Something like this would be much, much harder to pull off on... say a 7D/550D.
