This was my submission to that show that Spielberg did called "On The Lot". I was hoping to find the original project somewhere so I could make the opening monologue normal speed but can't seem to find it anywhere. I hadta speed it up to meet the required 30 second time limit for the introduction.

The thinking behind this video would be that the shot's of the character, my alter-ego Davie Michaels, witting the letter would be somewhat cinematic to show some sort of "skill" and that the little movies would be really bad. A bit of contrast or something. I didn't get on the show, but I like ta think maybe my DVD got there late (I'm not sure my package was postmarked by the deadline).

Thanks Karen. Even for a boob like me this vid is pretty brutally self deprecating so I hope someone gets a kick out of it!

Haha, that's quite funny. The sci fi character was classic! You really nailed that 1970's Battlestar Galactica look with those Radiance filters!

Excellent job Ray, bet it was a hoot making that!

Thanks Paul. The little clips were fun, the parts of me groveled cuz it was friggin cold the night we did the desk scenes and we hadta do half of em with the doors open to cheat the shots. The windows in front of the desk are the doors. I thought my tongue was gonna freeze and crack off and I had to hold my breath during the shots or there was steam!

That was great, it's not easy to make people laugh but you did it effortlessly.

P.S. Being self-taught, as you profess to be, and having mastered so much skill makes me optimistic for my own digital filmmaking endeavor!

LOL! Awesome - The cop chase scene was too funny!

Very nice stuff indeed. Loved how you moved the camera. What did you use to achieve the jib/pedestal shots? Nice work!

funny stuff... nice "bit of contrast or something"... I'm quite sure it was worth your effort if the payoff was simply to make people laugh

Excellent camera work! I have a question; what software did you use to make the Underground Production logo used in this piece? It's fantastic. Thanks in advance.

Thanks man, everything was done with Sony Vegas. =)
