In the fall, after all the relentless heat, sunshine and cloudless blue skies of summer in Greece, my time-lapse camera gets a workout as the skies begin to create dynamic voluminous clouds. It is impossible to predict what might happen in front of the lens, as the intervalometer triggers shot after shot. There is always something unknowable, if only the organic beauty of clouds in motion. This moody shot of darkening overcast skies evokes heavy atmosphere and the imminent approach of winter.
Imperial Grey B was filmed in Athens, Greece on a Nikon D300 with a 20mm f2.8D lens. This lens has been without a doubt my most frequently used time-lapse optic.
