Embark on the special journey of “Finding Bach”. Built on the Second Violin Partita by Bach, the Passage meanders through the illuminatingly beautiful music of contemporary Estonian composer Arvo Part and improvisations on old Irish air, jigs, and reels. The piece is created as an arch and performed without pause.
I edited this down from a one-hour performance recorded live in Taiwan in 2008. I tried to capture the feel and rhythm of the piece, keeping the structure intact.
