After finishing my first 3D soundvisualisation with processing I wondered if the live audio signal could be transmitted into the real world, in another form, somehow.
Finally I ended up connecting an arduino duemilanove board with a fancy RGB-LED-stripe and puzzling everything together.
Colors are synched to the pitch of the audio input where red means bass, green stands for mids and blue shows highs. The three different color values get converted by processing and then transmitted to the Arduino microcontroller via a WiFi-Router.
Then, in the blink of an eye, the Arduino board splits the received string again, in order to send the different voltage values directly to the RGB-LED-stripe.
