Grenadiers (Family Macrouridae) are deep-sea relatives of cod. The Giant Grenadier (Albatrossia pectoralis) shown in this video lives in the North Pacific and is the largest grenadier species in the world. Millions of grenadiers are killed and discarded as bycatch in the sablefish (black cod) fishery in Alaska every year.
