Dr. Aldridge discusses the unique characteristics of TB bacteria that make this disease so resistant to treatment. Her own research has contributed significantly to understanding how TB bacteria continue to outsmart even the most advanced medications. This work has expanded biological understanding of bacteria and also suggests new strategies for treatment.
