Today, at a Wildlife SOS bear rescue center near Bangalore, India, one of the last 'dancing bears' in India was surrendered by his owner. For the last 3 years, Raju the bear has been dragged around at the end of a 4 foot rope and forced to perform for crowds... all so his owner, Raje, could earn money to care for his family. Now, Raje will be taught a new vocation and his children will be educated, and Raju the bear will start a new life at our rescue center. Here he will enjoy good care, tasty and nutritious food, and the companionship of other bears. This clip shows Raje saying goodbye to Raju, and wishing for him a happy future.
