The first noiseless i ever bought. A shiny, black gloss typewriter with beautiful keys. The decals are in excellent shape and it is a brilliant look this typewriter is carrying. The Remington decal is very clear on both the paper table and the framework down below the spacebar. All the functions work beautifully and there is almost no to, none paint loss. With the 'Noiseless' system, the typewriter is fully functional apart from a problem that could occur, and which the manufactorers never got there head around. Because of the noiseless system, the hammers barely touch the platen. And if a platen is not used for, like say 30 to 40 years, it is guaranteed or, almost maybe, that the platen gets smooth and hard as a rock. It occured on this typewriter because the platen...well, is like new, but really hard because it has never been affected by the impact a normal typewriter system would leave. Therefore, the paper doesn't catch in the machine in this machine is labeled, "Non-Working". But still a nice decoration item. The typewriter comes with the case and it's serial is 120819, dating it back to 1938. (I FIXED IT!!!)
