In this video Venerable Robina Courtin teaches, in her accessible, common-sense way, about dealing with hardships by changing one’s mind through the Dharma practice of mind training (Transforming Problems). When we are not able to change the outer situations in life, for the better, through taking wise and compassionate actions, there is no point in getting angry at the outer circumstances. One can change ones own mind to overcome the difficulties of life. Robina teaches us about “Liking problems like you like ice-cream!” as Lama Zopa Rinpoche calls it. If you can avoid problems then please do but when problems are unavoidable, that is the moment to practice the mind training. This teaching is suitable for all levels of students. NOTICE: We apologize for the two-second glitch that occurs in this video around 4 minutes and 41 seconds. The problem occurred with our filming - It is not a problem with your video player.
