from Tropic of Pulse:
"...In the basement level, Mommy (2008) runs on a 28-second loop. Here too a single event has been captured using two separate camera angles, later to be edited in a fast and flashy sequence. The one shows a pharaoh's coffin attached to a roof beam, face down, while the other shows its mummy lying on the floor beneath it. The mummy’s mouth is wide open as it receives a heavy stream of sand that is injected from a hole in the pharaoh’s nose. Produced and orchestrated at the artist’s studio, the video’s brisk editing heightens the physical presence of its filmed components. The pennywhistle heard in the soundtrack alludes to the process of breathing."
