1. Our Town
Eagle, Colorado--population 5,800 is at a crossroads--either maintain its small town character or approve ERS(Eagle River Station) a 550,000 sq ft "lifestyle mall" and change the town forever. Eagle is just west of Vail, Colorado, and has a vibrant local economy and a beautiful main street(Broadway) with coffee shops, bike shops, restaurants, boutiques and more. The people here are great and love their active, outdoor lifestyles. Eagle is nestled in the Rocky Mountains with a beautiful natural landscape, endless mountain bike trails, hiking trails, world class skiing within 30 minutes, great hunting, gold medal flyfishing, snowmobiling and an historic downtown.

This is a documentary film about why we love the mountains and why we live here.
We don't want out-of-state developers coming into our unique mountain town and telling us we need a mall.

This type of reckless development is irresponsible, wasteful, greedy and needs to be stopped. Please protect your hometown businesses, your friends, your neighbors and your main street!

I am not a filmmaker and nobody helped me make this movie. I borrowed a video camera from a friend two weeks ago, learned how to operate it, and started filming. I feel very strongly about preserving great things and I hope this film makes you feel the same way.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more information! Please forward this email to as many people as possible. The Town of Eagle votes on this Jan. 5, 2010. Please VOTE NO and save our small town!

    Thanks!

Cody: this is great. I'll be watching and hoping for a "NO" vote from the good folks of Eagle.

It is added to my channel. Hope you are well. I know the snow isn't that great there right now, but at least it is not the crazy rain that we have been getting on the mountain.

Awesome! I want lots of people to see it this time around too. The officials from the town of Eagle need to be held accountable for their actions and have a little spotlight put on them from people beyond the town of Eagle!!:)
The snow is a little thin, No East Vail....but groomer laps on Arrowhead are awesome right now! And Boneyard is riding pretty great!

That's awesome. And I love the boneyard. We have been riding some ridiculous trails here. The cool thing about the Pac NW is that we ride year round. Skiing and MTBing.
