“Noteput” is an interactive music table with tangible notes, that combines all three senses of hearing, sight and touch to make learning the classical notation of music for children and pupils more easy and interesting.

    Really cool and intuitive, wish there was an alto clef piece though for us viola players :D

    Also, really poor choice of computer voice for the narration, most of the time I thought it was a different language it was so unintelligible.

    Not very innovative I think. Microsofts multitouch device "surface" did things like this 2 or 3 years ago. Interactive objects had also these IR active markers on their backs.

    Is this using Microsoft Surface? Seems very neat. Would be a great educational/play tool.

    Thanks everyone for all the comments.
    We used vvvv.org for the programming and Fiducial Markers for the tracking. However, this is just a prototype. Of course such a table would be way too big and expensive for class rooms...

    i used mac osx's vicki and tweacked it a little with reverb and some filters. glados was in fact kind of an inspiration for it … :)
