Whatever works best for you and Hannah (and are there other people joining you?) You are more than welcome to stay the entire time or split it up so YOU don't get tired of us and Otis running into you in the morning. Har har.

We (I) can't promise that I'll be able to hang out most of the time as I have some editing deadlines around that time but we'll see.

How many days are you planning on being in Portland?

right now it looks like we'd be there from july 30th till august 2nd/3rd (my plane goes at 6.30 am on the 3rd) so this would be about four and a half days i think.

edit: oh and to your other question: there will definetly be jed with us, and maybe there will be other people too, joining our trip in san francisco, but we don't know yet about who that would be and how many. but i am sure we can arrange something. if it gets too much for you we'll just break into dalas' house! ;)

I thought you'd be in Portland around the end of July. What I have is July 30th to August 3rd but that is according to dates that Victoria mentioned a while back and what I saw on the MeetUp Channel calendar. Am I wrong? If the dates are actually what you said (June 30th - July 3rd) then it might be kinda tight. It'll work still I think.

Ok cool. Yeah, if you want to stay all 4/5 days at our house that would be no problem. I think it'll be ok to have everyone stay at our place but that depends on how many people.

Maybe if one other person in Portland can take 1/2 the guests then it'll be more comfortable. Our house is tiny. We've had entire bands stay before (5-8) people but that was just an overnight kinda thing.

I'm just thinking for your sanity and ours (haha) and that everyone is comfortable, it might be good to spread it out, at our house and in a place to stay. I wish Kamala's studio was done (there might be a chance it will be done by the time you all get here) then you could all crash at our place comfortably.

it's awesome to experience such kindness in helpfull people like you. we will plan you in as a place to stay and when things come closer and we know how many people want to come to portland (i also just rememberd simon frankson wanted to come from canada) we can talk again and maybe also find some other people who would host so we can split the group of visitors up.

It just occurred to me now (duh!) that you are all coming in the middle of the summer!

We have giant yard!!!! You can easily camp out in our backyard as well. We even have a tent.

totally understandable. it is a bit out of the way. there is a great hostel in town that you might want to check out. it's right by the sears tower and is very clean. i have directed others to stay there and they loved it. here's the link.

i live eight minutes from the local train (Aurora) that goes directly in to chicago (Chicago Union Station).
