Our memories anchor us to essential parts of our identity. Without them, we are adrift. The narrator of this story is adrift in a place that is both familiar and unfamiliar. Like me, he’s aware that he has memory issues. And, like me, he compensates by manufacturing "memories" to replace the ones he’s lost. Some of my manufactured memories appear in this video.
