I love the words that Sonja Lyon used when she posted the first picture, "Last night I had the privilege of being part of a very wonderful story. One that involved dangerously icy hikes, light escaping alarmingly quickly, love letters read quietly between two friends huddled in the snow, exchanged promises, a chicken wing and a diamond ring. Rachel and Adam, may your life be filled with adventures ventured together, supporting each other and singing songs along the way, sights of beauty to appreciate together even when you're not quite sure how you'll get where you're headed next."
This footage was collected by Dan Lyon during the hike and the stills are by Sonja Lyon. We're so thankful to have these images and videos to look back and remember the icy terror, dark skies and unimaginable beauty at the end of the trail. The last clip is the pitch black that we hiked through to return to the car (which was parked outside of a road blocker that said "road closed") What a wonderful adventure.
