Not the best looking test, just wanted to see what the stretched bokey I'm in love with looks with this lens and the infamous anamorphic lens flare.
One thing I didn't really know about anamorphic lens is the wide field of view it gives you. I shot with with an 85mm, yet I have an ~40mm field of view.
The only odd thing is the ultra-widescreen (2x) resolution. Looks a bit silly with it being so narrow. A 1.33x or 1.5x would have been good with a 16:9 sensor like the 5D but apparently the 2x lens give you more of an anamorphic look.
I used the ML RAW hack to get an higher vertical resolution (1920 x 1200) to get more vertical height.
The footage from the anamorphic lens already has a quaint, rustic film look however I proceeded with adding a FilmConvert grade to add to the aesthetic.
