2010 leadership summit message by Bill Hybels.
Holy Discontents are people who are often mislabeled as troublemakers, anti leadership, non supportive, and the list goes on. The youthful David who killed Goliath was criticized by his own brothers and mocked by Saul as “being ridiculous!” (1 Samuel 17:28-32). Verse 33 says, “But David persisted.”
Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, or Gandhi persisted. Holy discontents, both people who are well know and people who will never be widely know until Heaven, have a laser focus that drives them to action, what Hybels calls their “Popeye moments”.
