The 30th Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival in China's northeastern city of Harbin officially opens its doors to the public.
Despite the freezing temperatures dropping to twenty eight degrees Celsius, locals and tourists still attended the winter wonderland. The festival features sculpture, extravagant castles, and at nights the L-E-D lights illuminate the wonderland. The one month event also features activities about tourism, economy and trade, sports, culture and art. In the past 2 years the event has managed to attract a combined 28-point-5 million visitors.
