An EIG client family spent the 2009 Thanksgiving holiday on a customized service trip to Guatemala. EIG planned the trip by matching client giving interest and the family's personal interests to vetted organizations with service opportunities among the Guatemalan poor. The customized service trip allows the parents to share their values of compassion and generosity with the next generation while exploring a new region of the world together. Along the way they connected with 5 different organizations making a difference in the lives of vulnerable people around Guatemala City.
