This segment features two real time ultrasound movies from a patient with the following Case History:
A 66 year old female was referred to their ophthalmologist for evaluation of an epiretinal membrane in the right eye. She complained of distortion and blurred vision in the right eye, but denied flashes, floaters, or curtains in either eye. Her past ocular history was otherwise not significant.
The first real time B-scan of the posterior pole reveals a barely discernible macular pucker in the right eye.
The second real time B-scan reveals vitreous traction on a retinal tear and resultant retinal detachment.
