"Nursing is more than a job. It's a commitment," said Lilah Khan, R.N. at The Children's Center. Lilah, like all of our nurses, made that commitment the day she signed the papers to work here. "We have an incredible team of nurses that really cares about the children we serve," said Carol Gray, Chief Operating Officer of The Children's Center. Lilah's day begins early. Her alarm clock chimes at 5:30 a.m. signaling the start of a new day. She arrives at the hospital before sunrise, reviews reports, and then starts her 12-hour shift. "You really form a bond and a relationship with the children and their families. You can really see the excitement, the heart, and the love on all of our nurses' faces," Kahn said.
Follow Lilah through the rest of her day and watch "A Day in the Life," the latest video from Hope TV, which is The Children's Center's channel on YouTube and vimeo.com showcasing our stories, people and progress.
