Treating Wyspianski’s postdramatic text as a hard drive, from which one could read snippets of biblical and mythological stories fundamental to European culture, the authors of "ACROPOLIS" send their piece into the future. From the given data every scenario is possible. In a post-apocalyptic landscape with an omnipresent digitalization in the background, the boundary between what is human and synthetic, between organic tissue and electronics becomes blurred: a syphilis virus that was slowly destroying Wypianski at the turn of XIX and XX century, now has mutated into a computer virus preventing the correct reading of data, but allowing to single it out. Through technology and multimedia the audience is provoked to appoint new meanings in old structures over and over again. "ACROPOLIS" – the highest point of the city – in Twarkowski's performance looses its geographical meaning and is interpreted as a human mind with an intellectual potential and with its own magnetic field. In such a labyrinth the authors of "ACROPOLIS" try to find the answer to the question of humanity's boundaries. And, just like Żiżek, they are more interested in the reality of the virtuality rather than virtual reality.
