Trying to get to Mt. Evans. Took a back route, which was on the limit of my capabilities on a big bike. Everyone else had lighter 650's and 450's, but I was on an F800 GS at close to 600lbs. About 2 hours in, one of our riders hit a huge rock. His bike ran for another few yards and then quit. It took ove an hour to fix, during which time a Jeep club was coming down the mountain. They said the pass was blocked higher up and they had to turn around. They were not confident bikes could get through. Once the bike was fixed, we debated heading back down the mountain or trying to go up and see if we could get through.

I was torn. I did not want to go back down. I truly thought I would have to walk my bike down if we did. However, if didn't relish the idea of going any further up, just in case it really was blocked. In the end, we turned around and went back down the way we came...this is that ride down.
