In 1993 Paul Watson photographed the desecration of the corpse of American Staff Sergeant William David Cleveland in Mogadishu, Somalia. Watson received the Pulitzer Prize for this photograph, but has been haunted by Cleveland ever since. Jonathan Berger (composer) and Dan O'Brien (Librettist) wrote an Opera about the haunting of Paul Watson and called it "The War Reporter."
For this talk-back, Watson sat onstage and spoke with Jonathan Berger, Beth Morrison, video artist Mark DeChiazza and the audience about his experiences.
