Just a quick mess from a walk around the garden over Christmas.

It's not meant to be anything profound, it was just to pass some time and get some fresh air to burn off some excess food :)

All shot on the Canon 7D @60fps converted to 24fps in premiere, where I did the quick edit.

It was all hand held. So if nothing else, I learned i need a steadicam or a video head for my tripod. Handholding is hard!!!

Music is by Jem.

Pleasant. I find that ducks can be particularly convivial.

Gotta grease that tripod head. Little bit of stuttering as you were panning. Great framing of your shots.

I was actually hand twisting a monopod :)

Awesome, I just got a Canon 7D and its inspiring to see such amazing results with it. What kind of lens was used for this piece?

    Thanks! I used a 17-55mm IS and a 100mm Macro

Super work! it really talked to my bucolic apetite ;-)

  • Just a question... I have a canon XL2. Do you think if I shot in 60fps and converted it to 24fps. I could get a similar look to my footage?

You should get the same slowed down look, but i'm not sure the shallow DOF would be the same. If all you're after is getting slow-mo then yeah, should work fine :)

I like this a lot. The handheld quality is nice, for me anyway, since the viewer can sense the heartbeat and breath of the videographer. Also the simplicity is refreshing as so many people just go for the "wow" factor which in the end can be rather empty.

    Really a nice one here...
