1. Lennox Head, Australia (Inspired by Phillip Bloom)
I've enjoyed Phillip Bloom's EX1/Letus films so much, I thought I'd put a little landscape film together featuring the coastal village of Lennox Head, in Australia.

Just a Sony V1 I'm afraid. I hope to get an EX1/Letus kit later in the year.

It is what it is...

Cheers!

Really nice stuff. Piano is nice too. What did ou use to grade this?
I also have been inspired by Phillip Bloom and am shooting my own stuff with my EX1 around the Central Coast and the Hunter

    Very, very nice.

    Thanks Euan,

I enjoyed Shroppy Fly. What is that? A series of locks in the canal? Looked interesting. The rainbow was amazing.

Yeah, there are 15 locks spread over a mile, raising the canal 93ft in the Shropshire direction. It takes a patient sailor to negotiate the incline.

Pleased you enjoyed the rainbow! Also pleased my camera wore its raincoat.

Nice work Jack, both visuals and edit, nice and moody. (No pun intended re the cattle shots)

    Hi Mal,

    A case of Bovine intervention!

    Thanks for your comments...

    Jack,

Great shots! Did you use a Letus to shoot this? I am only using a V1 as well, with an EX in my future. The V1 works quite well with the Letus, in fact, it may have sharper side to side focus than I see with some of the EX videos. Keep up the good work! I wish this was encoded in HD!

    Thanks Paul!

I will probably reencode in HD when I get a chance.

I don't have a Letus, but plan to get one soon...I'd also like an EX1, but that may have to wait 'til the end of the year.

How have you found the Letus with the V1? I am an inch away from an order. Do you have any tips?

I had a look at Winter Solstice, and it's very beautiful stuff. Very different landscape to my part of the world - the nearest snow to me is 2,500 Km away!

    You captured a lovely tone...

    Thanks for your comments!

I enjoyed your film on Lennox very much nice post work a great dreamy feel to it. I would wait for the EX3 camera looks much better than the EX1 which I have found a bit hard to use ergonomically. nice work though on the film.

I know...the EX1 seems designed by somebody who didn't have to pick it up and use it. EX3 looks nice, with a few features on the body rather than buried in menus... If you want to unload an EX1 for an EX3, let me know, i'll help you out!

How's the shoulder? Or was it your back? Something was giving you shit last time I saw you bowling!
