This was the first animal encounter I had on day 2 of my stay at andBeyond's Klein's Camp. I was fortunate to be the only guest at the camp on safari and enjoyed the spectacular landscape and animals in this private concession. The solitude and privacy offered being the only car looking for animals was amazing. It allowed the tracker/guide and myself to really use our skills in looking for the animals which made the sightings even more worthwhile.

The footage was taken with a Canon 50XHS using the zoom and a tripod attached to the side post of the 4WD and a GoPro using an iPole. The video has been edited from an extensive amount of footage to include what I believe is the best of the film and to show the viewer what I saw during the time I was with the lions. I do not at any stage want to offend anybody with this video and have made it for my own enjoyment and to show people how awesome nature is.

At all times during the sightings the animal's welfare was paramount to not only myself but also to my guide and tracker. We were respectful of distances but at times the animals did come closer to the car at their own discretion. During the sightings we were the only car present and remained silent and mindful of the animal's behaviour so as to create the least amount of stress as possible.
