Our Guest speaker was Scott Murchison, founder and current chairman of 180 Project Youth based in Lee, Maine. Scott founded 180 with his wife April and a few of his church family members in October 2007 as a way to meet the teens in their community who they would otherwise not come in contact with. The objective for 180 Project Youth is to provide an environment where young people can feel comfortable letting their guard down, and create an opportunity to love them and speak into their lives from a position of trust and security. The mission statement for 180 Project Youth is “a place to be who you are and become who you are created to be”.
