In honor of MLK Day, here are excerpts from two videos featured on our platform that invoke Dr. King's legacy. The first, a protest in Detroit over the closing of the Brewster Douglass public housing development, was held on MLK Day in 1988. The second takes place on MLK’s birthday in New Orleans in 2007, and depicts a march against the closing of the St. Bernard public housing development after Katrina. Two cities, almost twenty years apart, with the same dream: decent affordable housing for all. Who is carrying on Dr. King’s legacy today, in your community?
