Edit: for your enjoyment, here is 4GB of ungraded Black Magic Pocket Cam footage as shown above for you to play with and do with as you please. Note, they have been transcoded to industry standard 10-bit DPX log image sequences that are ready for grading/VFX/whatever you like. If you do something cool, send me a link and show me!
Apologies for the camerawork and shoddy grading (I'm by no means a colorist) but here are some shots I filmed at Stanley Park in Downtown Vancouver to test how far I can push the latitude of the raw files from the Black Magic Pocket Camera in (gloomy) natural light. I need a proper desk set up to get stuck in, and of course learn more about Da Vinci Resolve; but these are a good start to learning more about this camera in production and post. Working up towards some lit narrative work to test this properly for production as well as some VFX shots.
Used a Kodak 2383 LUT as my basis for grading the raw DNG files and graded in Resolve 9 lite.
Canon 50mm f1.8 w/ Fotodiox EF to MFT adapter (with clickless aperture control).
