n the fall of 2009, in association with the Buddha Garden, Buddha Worms built and distributed six free worm bins to willing citizens around Baltimore. The bins were made out of recycled or found wood (tutorials of which can be read on the website below). The video compiles interviews with a few of those participants after two months with the bins. Worm bins great for indoor composting. By keeping red wiggler worms in a shady container, you can get them to turn your food scraps into nutrient rich soil. In the future, as the worms reproduce, this project will continue to supply bins to those who want them. This, in turn will help students around Baltimore decrease the amount of waste they produce. To be put on a waiting list for worms, or for more information on building bins, taking care of worms, troubleshooting, or reading the accounts of participants, visit: buddhaworms.wordpress.com
