I was born at my aunt Dawn's house so the magic of her was woven into all my childhood memories.

When she passed away this purse was one of the things she left me.

It's typical of who she was and the time she lived in. It was a special piece to be taken out to country balls and dances half a dozen times of year. But most of the time she would have worn practical cotton and aprons.

Mum and Aunty Dawn were from Miles so this purse would have travelled to shows, balls and dances all around the district.

I took this purse dancing with me to the Charleville show ball and I felt like I was dancing with her all night.
