Because a majority of youth identify the creative arts as their spark/passion, the TeamMates Mentoring Program is committed to providing opportunities in the arts for its intergenerational teams. TeamMates mentors encourage youth to pursue their dreams and full potential through their sparks, interests, skills and self-identified assets.

Since 2006, the TeamMates Mentoring Program has received funding from the Nebraska Arts Council for intergenerational activities in the arts. In 2009, youth/adult teams participated in digital filmmaking workshops in Hebron, Plainview, Minden, Doniphan, North Platte, Columbus and Lincoln, Nebraska.
