A moving panorama of site specific photographic stills that explore and respond to the history and stories of an area called The Rocks in Sydney. Dust/dirt samples are taken from the buildings and surrounding urban area, capturing the microscopic traces left over time on the windows, floors, walls etc. These samples are then turned into images and stitched together to make one long image which is then animated. The image is blown up in size to take away the context and scale of the buildings themselves and to force viewers to look in more detail at the many layers that constitute the history of the area. Upon exhibition the video is projected at a large scale back on to the walls of the buildings that the samples were taken from.
