This animation was created for the the debut performance of "Lillian: A Folk Opera". It was produced as a series extended clips, allowing the video technician to trigger scene changes in sync with the orchestra, rather than needing the orchestra to play to a click track.
This is an approximation of how the animation looked projected across the two screens at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC, where the show debuted. The straight-forward animation is at vimeo.com/dansakamoto/thestorm
The screens are dark for the first part of the animation, with only occasional distant lightning flashes. The main part begins about 2 minutes in.
