Delivered by The Manufacturing Institute, Make It is helping to attract the brightest and best new talent into manufacturing by promoting the sector as an exciting and rewarding career destination for young people and UK manufacturing as an industry that thrives on innovation, creativity and smart thinking.

This animation was produced using funding from SEMTA and aims to dispel some of the negative perceptions that surround careers in manufacturing.

Since 2007, over 60,000 young people have participated directly in hands-on activities that are proven to improve their perceptions of careers in the sector. All Make It activity is delivered in partnership with one of over 40 sponsoring business partners including Jaguar Land-Rover, Siemens, Premier Foods, BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce and Sellafield and a wide range of companies throughout the supply chain.
