Erol Aykiri’s ice cream shop is located in the ground floor of a mosque in Fethiye in southern Turkey. The ice cream is unusual because it doesn't contain dairy products but fresh fruit and wild berries instead. Aykiri binds the ingredients with orchid root powder, rather than using gelatin or cream. What's more, no sugar is added to the fruit ice-cream to keep the product healthy. Aykiri's shop is the main stop for locals and foreigners who are looking for the old flavors.
