This is a documentary created by Georgetown University undergraduate students for Prof. Bernie Cook's American Civilization III course. The students walked by the streetcar tracks in Washington, DC's Georgetown neighborhood on a daily basis, and yet none of them really knew the story behind them. As a result, they decided to explore the history of those tracks and how they fit into the larger stories of DC and how it was shaped by public transit. In the end, it became clear that the tracks represented many things: nostalgia, technology, history, controversy, and historic preservation to name a few.
