Short conceptual piece about freedom and the protest of the youth against a boring and mundane life. Inspired by the writings of Jack Kerouac. I began to think about the whole ‘Beat Movement’ of the 1950s and how in todays culture this attempt to try express our feelings has been diluted to a point where the youth of today struggle to express their feelings towards society. The subjects in the film are two young guys attempting to protest against society but can’t seem to express their angst. There are themes of protest, angst, rebellion and numbness towards society. I intend on developing and evolving this project this idea further.
