Core. n. The central or most important part of something. Applied to an individual, it defines the person; it's what drives one's behavior and pursuits, what we're really about. The same is true for churches, both ancient and modern-day.
The Church at Thessalonica clearly had core values. And, without a doubt these ideals made an indelible impression on the people they came in contact with. In fact, the Apostle Paul writes that he "continually remembered" (NIV) this central or most important part. In other words, whenever Paul thought of his friends at Thessalonica, their core values figured prominently in his recollection. It was what they were known for.
This video addresses the core values that Paul applauds, and how they contribute to reputation, and to Sunridge in particular. Join us as we continue a verse-by-verse study of 1 Thessalonians; as we cover verses 1:2-3. Core.
