humiliation

We had an interesting day snowboarding at Mt. Baker. The forecast called for 'mild' temps and about a foot of snow. Fifteen inches of snow fell in 33 degree weather. This provided the equivalent of snowboarding on a gigantic world made of mashed potatoes. It was that snow that spontaneously grabs your edges and flings you helplessly onto your face. As you can see, that happened here a couple times.

I titled the video "humiliation" because we started off the day getting worked on the first run in front of everyone. It set the tone for the remainder of the day.

The entire vid was filmed with a GoPro Hero HD with a nice wide angle lens. The timelapses were done with this camera as well. The footage is right out of the camera and the only edits are a few transitions here and there.

Overall, the camera is very nice. It's waterproof and bombproof. The only gripes I have right now are:

1. It looks HIDEOUS as a large block attached to your forehead. Side mount is probably worth it.

2. The joints on the mounting arms have smooth interfaces, causing them to slide when shaken vigorously. You can see this on the 'behind the foot' shots. They could have put teeth in those joints and I bet it wouldn't slip so damn much. =)
