Nice macro/closeup work. Are you using a WA? Are you using a tripod? I find I can't keep the camera steady using a telemacro mode and haven't done much close up with my Inon WA... yet. Good ambient light footage too.

    Lars,

I use 50 watts of ambient HID lighting! lol I am starting to employ color correction in post in all new videos, but not in the ones posted so far.

I have the wide angle port on the Phenom, and this video had a +2 diopter on the flip down arm. The Amphibico Phenoms port has full zoom through.

For our last group trip we went to Anilao in the Philippines. The macro opportunities and subjects there is awesome! I used $400 German made Schneider Optics +3.5 dual element achromatic diopter that was modified so it fits without touching the inside of the port. That diopter is quite superior, but you can't flip it out of the way if Mr. Big shows up.

That telemacro feature on some Sony's is the bee's knees! I wish they had that feature and a LANC controller on the Sony PM EX1.

By the way, we now have made it so all Vimeo videos can now be embedded on our ScubaMagazine.net Community just by posting the video's URL address. It will auto-embed, no weird coding or tags needed.

Also very good work. I wish I had shot the Flamboyant at the end which is my hightlight in this video.

Gregor, I am STILL trying to run across a flamboyant cuttlefish. After well over a hundred dives in the Philippines and Indonesia, still no luck. But then again, i also have not run across a Hymencora picta or elgegans harlequin shrimp either.
