I decided to swing back around on my fume flame shader to test it out on a close up fire. My previous attempt was here... vimeo.com/48561671. However, I have altered my method slightly since that. Because of Fume's lack of black body radiation shading, I've given up on using gradients to get the fire look I want. Instead, I used a single color and a AFC curve which give the fire an x-ray shader look. Then post color correction using curves. With curves I am able to give the fire a black body shaded look.
