Yeah, I see what you're saying, Asher, especially with the totally bored models they use, but to me, that's not so funny to look at "live action" per se, so I thought the semi ennui fueled dancing, facial expressions, and sack danglage fit the song and my sense of humor better. My spin on it more than an exact replica.

It's based on a live sketch and song I wrote for the San Francisco Sketchfest last year.

This director (Evan Leong) approached us to make a video about it, so I went straight to american apparel and bought a, ahem, very snugg woman's sized medium swimsuit and started walking around the store. I got a similar reaction to yours, so I put that magical $70 outfit on the old credit card, and the rest is herstory.
