This talk reflects on lessons learned from architecture reviews. A designer needs to compellingly present their architecture and build confidence that key decisions have been thoughtfully made. A reviewer needs to be skilled at quickly interpreting complex information, asking probing questions, and effectively giving advice. Both designer and reviewer can benefit from awareness of biases that get in the way of people interpreting information and tactics for counteracting them.
