An incredible thunderstorm with insane structure rolled through the East Valley on the evening of August 30, 2013. It very easily could have been classified as a brief supercell; there was intense upward motion with the storm and a possible large wall cloud with weak rotation. Not only did the possible supercell have amazing structure, but it put on a dazzling lightning show right over my head! I captured some of the best lightning bolts of the year, including a very close cloud-to-cloud strike!
