What does it mean to pray in the name of Jesus? All the things that Jesus paid for at the cross is in His name. Salvation, healing, deliverance, and prosperity to name just a few. When we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, we ask the Father for things on the merits of what Jesus Christ has done and not on the merits of what we have done. That kind of prayer works because it is based on the already finished work of Jesus Christ. The same applies to casting out devils and healing the sick in the name of Jesus Christ.
