On January 5, 2010, University of Illinois President Ikenberry announced the implementation of a furlough program and other cash-conservation measures for the remaining months of the 2010 fiscal year.
UI-7 was there as Ikenberry announced the program and took questions from the media during a teleconference. Vice President and CFO Walter Knorr also took questions from his office in Chicago.
UI-7 is the cable TV service of the College of Media at Illinois.
